Coach Seydou Zerbo finally talked about the absence of Franck Etouga Mbella from Kotoko’s game against Rail Club du Kadiogo.
Surprisingly, the 20-year-old was an isolated player on the sidelines when the Porcupines defeated the Burkinabé giants on Monday.
The gaffer believes Kotoko is a big club and acknowledged the importance of Etouga to his team but dismissed the notion the team is overly reliant on their talisman.
However, the Porcupine Warriors coach prefers to go with other players as he hopes for good result without the services of Etouga.
“Asante Kotoko is a big club and if Mbella isn’t around, that doesn’t mean the club won’t be there. I heard he’s is an important player but I didn’t work with him but I believe those who won in Benin can equally step up for the club,” Coach Zerbo revealed in a pre-match presser this morning.
