Hearts of Oak star boy, Afriyie Barnieh to miss week three Premier League game against Kotoko

Hearts of Oak will approach the week three BetPawa Premier League encounter against Asante Kotoko without their talisman, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.


Barnieh who has been in an electric form for the Rainbows is set to report to the camp of the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

He made Otto Addo’s squad to start preparations for the World Cup. The 21-year-old has left Ghana for France to join his mates at the national team to commence camping today.

He has made two appearances for the Phobians in the just started season. The team is yet to pick their first win and Barnieh’s absence seems to be a big blow for Samuel Boadu.


The last season’s FA Cup winners lost to Aduana Stars on matchday one before playing a 1-1 on Sunday with their city rivals, Accra Great Olympics.

Hearts of Oak will go head-to-head with the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday, 25 Sept 2022 at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars of Ghana will also play against Brazil in an International friendly on Friday, 23rd September and Nicaragua on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 to wrap up their European tour as part of the build up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals.
