Ibrahim Danald has finally given his reaction to Kotoko’s Champions League preliminary round defeat at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to RC Kadiogo.
The Black Galaxies goalkeeper was in the posts when the Burkunabé giants picked up a 3-1 win on penalties to progress into the next stage of the competition after a 1-1 aggregate scoreline.
Commenting on his Facebook page about the defeat, the former U-20 AFCON winner stated; Not the best results in the CAF Champions League game yesterday but we promise to do our best this season.
“We are out but the season is not over. We shall be back,” Danlad vowed.
It won’t get any easier for the Porcupine Warriors with Hearts, their next opponents in the BetPawa Premier League but they will hope to give their supporters the positive result after their awful performance in the Champions League.
The team will play two outstanding games in the just started Ghanaian top-flight league against Nsoatreman FC and Bechem United. A win against Hearts on Sunday will give them the boost to defend the title.
