Great Olympics managed a narrow win over Alhaji Grusa’s King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The league leaders on Saturday, extended their unbeaten run to three games after defeating the Inshallah Boys 1-0 in a Ghana Premier League match day 3 fixture to secure the first place.
Olympics increased their intensity in the second department of the game after a goalless draw in the first half.
They broke the deadlock on the 65th minute through Emmanuel Mensah who came off the bench in the second half.
King Faisal tried to respond with some chances but the Accra giants did a perfect job at the defense to bury the hope of the visitors for point.
The win sends the ‘Dade’ boys to the first place with 7 points. They are yet to concede defeat in the just started season, winning two and one draw.
Meanwhile, King Faisal are without a point after losing all their three games. They still remain at the bottom of the table.
Alhaji Grusa’s boys will face their city rivals, Asante Kotoko in an epic encounter on week four which will be difficult for them.
While Olympics will also fly out from Accra for the first time to play Samartex in their next fixture.
