Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu is set to make a return from injury against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on matchday three fixture in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The midfielder has been battling out with injuries since last season and missed the team’s first two games against Aduana Stars and Great Olympics.
The Phobians can again rely on the services of the 22-year-old who played a key role for the club in their last two season’s title triumph.
Ibrahim, the ex- Eleven Wonders star has been out for over three months now, with his last injury happening against Karela United on May 30, 2022 at the Accra Stadium. This was right after he had returned from the sideline after he had sustained another injury in Anyinase against the same club.
According to sources, Salifu Ibrahim has been cleared to play on Sunday against Asante Kotoko but it is likely that the stylish midfielder will start from bench.
Elsewhere, Congolese import, Linda Mtange, Amankwa Baafi, Yassan Ouatching and Prince Darnang will not be available for selection.
Ghanasportspage.com can confirm that an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for Darmang and Linda is not yet in while Baafi is under treatment for the injury he sustained from the game against Great Olympics same as Yassan Ouatching.
Yassan has been given some days off after the injury he picked up against Great Olympics in the Mantse derby on Sunday.
The Central African Republic forward sustained the injury on his right thigh during the week-2 encounter of the BetPawa Premier League game.
The medical team upon thorough assessment on Tuesday have decided to give Yassan some days to rest to allow his muscles to properly heal.
