Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak have reportedly appointed Erik Van Der Meer from the Netherlands as their new Technical Director.
The former Budapest Honvéd FC coach was at the stadium on Sunday when the Rainbows played a 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians have had a torrid start to the 2022/23 season sharing spoils in two matches with one draw in the Ghana Premier League but they are keen about the title this season from Asante Kotoko; however, the hierarchy of the club is believed to have agreed to appoint the Deutsche international to beef up the technical department of the club led by Samuel Boadu.
The technical team also has Mohammed Obeng Hamza and Enoch Diatey currently as the assistants coaches to Samuel Boadu.
The 55-year-old professional coach is expected to lead the Phobians alongside Samuel Boadu for the CAF Confederations as they hope to eliminate Malian side ASR Bamako to reach the group stages of the competition.
Board of Directors led by Togbe Afede XIV are yet to confirm the news with strong believe that, Boadu needs a helping hand and an exceptional figure for the team but a close source has disclosed to Ghanasportspage.com about the appointment of the new technical director.
