Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has finally reacted to the sacking of Samuel Boadu with a heartfelt message saying his legacy with the Hearts Of Oak fraternity would never be forgotten.
Samuel Boadu was sacked on Tuesday after a poor spate of results this season following the club’s poor start to the season.
The Rainbows managed two draws, one defeat in three games (1-0 defeat to Aduana Stars, 1-1 with Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko).
The decision was made by the Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV.
Although Hearts of Oak had endured an indifferent start to the season, off-the-pitch issues and a breakdown in Boadu’s relationship with the club’s board members believed to have been the key reasons behind his dismissal.
Reacting to the departure of the gaffer, Barnieh, arguably Heart’s best player said, “A Big thank you to you Coach Samuel Boadu for the amazing years we spent together.. Your Legacy with the Hearts Of Oak fraternity would never be forgotten.. Wishing you all the best for the future and see you soon..”
Barnieh has made two appearances for the club this season and missed the game against Asante Kotoko due to his call-up to the national team.
