Ghana have drawn tricky opponents, Morocco, Madagascar and Sudan for the 2023 African Nations Championship in Algeria.
The Black Galaxies will be based in Group C in the city of Constantine. They are one of the sides to have qualified for the first three editions (2009, 2011, 2014) of the tournament.
Ghana won silver at the inaugural edition in 2009 which was hosted by Ivory Coast.
But they suffered a first round elimination two years later in Sudan.
The 2023 African Nations Championship will run from Friday, January 13, 2022 to Saturday, February 4 in four cities (Algiers, Oran, Constantine and Annaba)
The two-time champions booked their ticket for the tournament after beating the Junior Squirrels of Benin and the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria.
For the first time in the history of the tournament, 18 teams from the continent will compete for the ultimate.
The 18 participating teams were divided into three groups of four teams (Groups A, B & C) and two groups of three teams (Groups D & E).
All qualified teams were divided into three different pots, based on CAF ranking regarding the participation of qualified teams in the last three final tournaments of the African Nations Championship.
