Following the appointment of David Ocloo as new assistant coach for Accra Hearts of Oak, it has emerged that the Rainbows are set to name former Kumasi Asante Kotoko boss, Prosper Narteh Ogum as their new coach to reunite with his ex-deputy manager.
The two gaffers enjoyed a good campaign at Asante Kotoko last season but left the club after winning the GPL title.
Continually backing Samuel Boadu, the management of Accra Hearts of Oak decided he had finally seen enough and dismissed him on Tuesday morning alongside his backroom staff following their poor start to the season.
However, we can confirm that the club do not want to visit the Malian side, ASR Bamako without a head tactician but wish to announce last season’s GPL winner.
Until he can assume the role full time, David Ocloo, his former deputy manager will take over as interim coach. He was appointed on Sunday evening as the assistant coach of the club.
Ocloo is expected to lead the team for preparations ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup next weekend.
Other sources indicates that Prosper Narteh Ogum has reached an agreement with the Rainbows and personal terms on a deal are now agreed.
The 44-year-old will work with David Ocloo again if the deal goes through.
