Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak have appointed Richard Oppong as the club’s new goalkeeping coach, according to a club statement on Monday morning.
Oppong joins David Ocloo as new additions to the club’s technical team as they work around the clock to name a head coach before the end of the week following Samuel Boadu’s sacking last week.
The 35-year-old had to quit football due to injury and turned attention to coaching.
Oppong, who played for Red Bull Academy and Right to Dream Academy, was on attachment at the Ettihad and Red Bull Salzburg after completing his goalkeeping course.
He helped in the development of current Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi and he is the CEO and co-owner of “Richard Oppong Goal keeping Centre” at Aburi – Kitaase.
