The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed details for the upcoming CAF Confederations Cup game between the Malian side, ASR Bamako and Hearts of Oak from Ghana.
The Malian side will host the Ghanaian giants in the first leg of the competition on October 8, 2022, at Stade Bema stadium.
Accra Hearts Hearts of Oak are yet to appoint a new gaffer for the season following the departure of Samuel Boadu. The Ghanaian tactician was fired alongside his backroom staff last Tuesday.
The GPL giants who aim to redeem themselves with positive results in the game are expected to appoint a new gaffer before the game on Saturday.
However, the head coach for ASR Bamako, Nouhoum Diane has already revealed his plans to secure qualification over the Rainbows.
“We are not afraid and it remains a football match. We have a young team with qualities.
“We don’t know how things will turn out but we have the ambition to qualify. Regarding just a few issues, we hope to recover them as soon as possible.
“We have quality players, some experienced players, and the strategies will see us through. You know how much we have ambitions since it is a football match. The most important thing is to qualify.
“In relation to injuries, no, you always have to get plan B. We hope it will be a good match, may the best win,” Nouhoum Diane told Ghanasportspage.com.
