The Stade du Bamako will host Ghanaian giants, Hearts of Oak, and Malian side, ASR Bamako in a CAF Confederations Cup second preliminary round first leg on Saturday, October 8.
The Malian side looks set and well prepared for tomorrow’s clash as they hope to progress following their first victory over Burkunabé side, Douanes.
Despite not scoring in the opener against the Burkunabé side, the Scorpions are hoping to gather smiles on the faces of their supporters when they host the Ghanaian giants.
In reaction to the game, ASR Bamako midfielder, Ibrahima Sidibe is urging supporters and the football-loving fans in Mali to cheer them up for victory over the Rainbows.
“I’m Ibrahima Sidibe midfielder for the AS Real de Bamako. I am entreating the Malian fans to come to support the team massively to help us secure a win and qualification before the return leg in Ghana”, he told Ghanasportspage.com
“I ask all the malian supporters to go to the stadium to support us so that we win the game. It is not only for As Real. It is a malian one”, He concluded.
The return leg is scheduled for next weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium. The overall winner will advance to the group stage of the competition.
