Former striker of Accra Hearts of Oak, Ishmael Addo is worried about the current situation of his former club.
The former golden boot winner said it’s really heartbreaking to see Hearts of Oak sinking.
Hearts of Oak is currently without a coach and have lost its form in the local league in Africa.
The team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Malian side, ASR Bamako on Saturday in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round first leg.
This means the Ghanaian side will have to overturn things with a 4-0 victory next weekend.
They have also gone without a victory in their first three GPL fixtures as they rank 14 in the league.
However, Ismael Addo who has seen it all both the local and international is worried about the current situation of his club.
“Even though we had our time, we still have something towards the team we want to see the team achieving more than our time but here is the cade that the team can’t take a step up but rather come down”
“It’s really painful, you sit to put the team up there with idea that they will be better than where it was previously but rather the team keeps coming down and dropping,” he said
“It’s really heartbreaking, as much as you try to understand what’s going on, you can’t even come out with answers for it”
“It’s heartbreaking during our times they don’t ask did hearts of oak win, they ask the number of goals hearts of scored because we were winning every game,” he told Gorge Addo junior in an interview.
