As part of preparations for the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup game against AS Real Bamako, Hearts of Oak thrashed lower-tier club GAP Academy in friendly at Pobiman Sports Complex.
Isaac Mensah scored twice in the game, as Hearts continue their preparations ahead of Sunday’s make-or-break clash.
Afriyie Barnieh and Samuel Inkoom were also in outstanding form for Hearts of Oak side to claim victory.
Hearts defender, Fatawu Mohammed and Gideon also scored a goal each to wrap up the game with a 6-0 scoreline.
The Rainbows will host AS Real Bamako on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the CAF Confederations Cup second preliminary round return leg.
Having suffered a 3-0 defeat in the first leg, the GPL giants will hope to overturn the scoreline. Should they be victorious they will meet one of the CAF Champions League drop out in the final qualification round.
