Reports from the media space this morning indicates that German-based Ghanaian coach Otto Addo has already named 20 players in his expected 26-man squad ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Information gathered says Otto Addo has submitted a 35-man provisional squad to the Ghana Football Association as he prepares to prune down the numbers to meet the limit set by FIFA.

The Borussia Dortmund Head of Talent Development has overseen 8 games since being appointed on interim basis in February 2022 and later being confirmed in May to be the man for the Mundial in May.

The Black Stars tactician has invited 40 different players within 8 months that he has been in charge of the team.

There is no room for any local player in the leaked 20 players but the gaffer is expected to announce a 26-man squad for the tournament. This means the likes of Afriyie Barnieh can still be in the final man squad for the Mundial.

The squad has three goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and three strikers.

Below is the list of players.

Goalkeepers: Jojo Wollacott, Richard Ofori, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen.

Defenders: Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, Gideon Mensah, Denis Odoi, Tariq Lamptey, Salisu Mohammed, Baba Rahman Abdul.

Midfielders: Thomas Partey, Kudus Mohammed, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Baba Iddrisu Mohammed, Elisha Owusu, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Forwards: Jordan Ayew, Andre Ayew, Inaki Williams.
