Former Hearts of Oak defender, Emmanuel Armah Senegal has urged the management of the Rainbows to appoint former Great Olympics gaffer, Annor Walker as their new head coach despite rumors of Slavco Matić’s appointment.
Hearts of Oak is yet to make an official announcement for the Serbian tactician as their new manager following his arrival on Tuesday.
However, reports from the media indicates the board chairman of the club, Togbe Afede has turned down moves for the white man to lead the Rainbows.
Hearts ex-defender, Armah Senegal has given his pick to the club management to replace Samuel Boadu with Annor Walker.
Boadu was sacked by Hearts weeks ago following their slow start to the season, with the Phobians currently placed 14th on the GPL table with 2 points from three games.
Per reports, the club’s board chairman, Togbe Afede is keen on appointing a local coach as their new manager.
In an interview with Armah Senegal he said, “I want us to give the Hearts of Oak coaching to Annor Walker. He is the reigning coach in the nation. He is the Black Galaxies coach. He is a former former footballer. He is doing a great job. Check where Olympics are now. He did the job. To commend someone, you have to check from his foundation. Something is ongoing along the line. He can leave Samartex to come and coach Hearts of Oak. He has signed for them but he is yet to start. Hearts of Oak is aware of it and they are doing an underground work.
“I am giving them a pressure to go for Annor Walker. Hearts of Oak will totally change when he comes. I [Emmanuel Armah Senegal] is saying this. I bet them. If Annor Walker comes Hearts of Oak will totally change forever. Discipline wise and everything will change,” he told Ghanasportspage.com
