In-form Ligue 1 defensive midfielder, Samed Abdul Salis has disclosed his chat with Ghanaian coach, Otto Addo concerning a call-up to the Black Stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Report indicates that the Lens enforcer has been invited by the Black Stars boss for the Mundial.
The in-form defensive midfielder disclosed that he received a message from Otto Addo on Saturday and he was told that he is in the provisional squad.
“The coach sent me a message this (Saturday) morning, he said to me: “You are going to be on the list.” Salis indicated.
“Everyone’s dream is to be at the World Cup and that is my dream too. I want to be in the final 26.” He added.
The 22-year-old player has been among the best defensive midfielders in Ligue 1 this season putting up superb performances.
He has featured in ten Ligue 1 matches so far this season and scoring one goal.
Since joining Lens in a 4.5 million euro deal from Clermont Foot, Samed has yet to miss a French Ligue 1 game.
Lens are fourth after ten games, with Samed playing a crucial role. Samed was signed as a direct replacement for Cheick Doucouré and he has exceeded expectations.
