Ghana’s World Cup opponent, Portugal will miss the services of their attacker, Diogo Jota due to injury.
The Liverpool forward had to leave the pitch during Sunday’s win over Manchester City after appearing to pick up a calf injury.
It was confirmed on Tuesday morning that the player will not be able to feature at the tournament after picking up a knock during the weekend.
Liverpool head coach, Jurgen Klopp reacted: “(It is) not good news on Diogo. He will miss the World Cup.”
Klopp added that Jota would not require surgery. He added:” It will be months, I don’t want to put a number on it.
The former European champions will line up against the Black Stars on November 24 at the World Cup before taking on South Korea and Uruguay respectively.
