Hearts of Oak interim manager, David Ocloo says he is feeling safe at the club despite the pressure from the fan base.
The Phobians were eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup with a 1-3 aggregate score against AS Real Banako.
The former Asante Kotoko deputy manager was named as the assistant and interim coach of Accra Hearts of Oak following the departure of Samuel Boadu after a poor start to the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season. The former Kotoko assistant coach is being assisted by U-20 coach, Samuel Nii Noi at the moment.
“I feel very welcome, this is football, coaches are hired and fired, that is it. [Samuel] Boadu’s tenure is over, I’m interim,” Ocloo told Radio Gold Sports in an interview.
“Maybe this is the end of my tenure as assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak.
“I feel very safe and comfortable [at Accra Hearts of Oak].”
With Hearts still in search of a new head coach, Ocloo will be in charge of the team for subsequent training as they wait for the outcome of the Ghana Football Association’s case with AshantiGold, which has seen the suspension of the Premier League.
