Asante Kotoko forward, Georges Mfegue says he is always ready to power the Porcupine Warriors but his injury situation has disrupted his smooth start to the new season.
The Cameronian import has played just twenty minutes in the club’s last two GPL fixtures. He came off the bench to play against Hearts of Oak and Nsoatremang FC before the league was suspended.
The fact the striker was not able to play a full part from the start is an indication of the serious doubts still surrounding his participation in their upcoming fixtures but he is working hard to claim his position back.
His availability would represent a huge boost to the GPL holders as they attempt to defend the title.
The forward was declared fit for Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Burkinabe champions RC Kadiogo in September.
After their elimination from the competition, he is yet to start for Seydou Zerbo’s side.
“I have been always ready but unfortunately, my injury situation has disrupted my smooth start of the season but mentally, I am ready and I know that we can do it again like last season.
“I know our fans are looking up to us and I know we will do it together as a group,”
