Ghana’s World Cup opponent, Uruguay have released a 55-man provisional squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The announcement was made on Thursday.
Head coach for the former world champions, Diogo Alonso has given a call ups to former Barcelona and Athletico Madrid attacker, Luis Alberto Suarez, Edison Cavani, Frederico Valverde of Real Madrid and Barcelona’s Ferran Torres.
The squad include six. goalkeepers. Coach Diogo Alonso is expected to name his final 26-man squad for the mundial before November 14.
Uruguay are in the same group with former European champions, Portugal, Asian giants, South Korea and four-time African champions in Group H.
They will open the tournament against South Korea in the group’s opener before playing against Ghana and Portugal.
