Ghana, one of the five African representatives at the FIFA 2022 World Cup, look primed for an exciting tournament despite being drawn into an incredibly difficult group.
Coach Otto Addo and the Ghana Football Association are expected to release an official preliminary list of 35-55 players to FIFA, from which he will select his final 26-man roster for Qatar by Monday, November 14.
However, Ghana’s group opponent, Uruguay have already released a 55-man provisional squad including Luis Suarez, Edison Cavani, Fredericko Valverde and others. Meanwhile the other opponents, Portugal and South Korea are yet to announce theirs.
Sources from the national team can state that twenty (20) players including Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu and Tariq Lamptey have already cement their roles at the national team.
Also in the final squad for the mundial is Ajax’s star, Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey of Arsenal, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and others.
Per reports the 20 players will not face any competition or will be excluded from the team as Ghana prepare to participate in its fourth World Cup.
