Ghana Premier League star, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has reacted to Black Meteors 2-1 win against Mozambique.
Ghana played as visitors to the East African at the Estadio do Zimpeto as they wrapped the game with a 2-1 victory.
The Accra Hearts of Oak youngster fired Ghana’s U-23 to victory with his second half brace in the first leg of the TotalEnergies CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations. The highly rated attacker stepped up and finished Ghana’s triumph in the last 30 minutes of the game.
Following Ghana’s victory the Phobian attacker posted on his Facebook page, “The aim was to win our first game against Mozambique on Sunday, And we’ve achieved just that..
“We go again in the Motherland… See you in Kumasi…”
Arguably, Barnieh is one of the prolific attackers in the local league. He has been named in Otto Addo’s provisional squad for the World Cup.
He scored four goals as the Black Galaxies booked their place in next year’s CHAN tournament to held in Algeria.
Barnieh made his Ghana senior debut in June during the Black Stars’ involvement in the Kirin Cup Soccer four-nation tournament in Japan.
He was also the only home-based player invited in Ghana’s squad for the two international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua last month.
