All-time leading goalscorer of Kotoku Royals, Dzikoe Richard known as Oda Vinicius says they will beat GPL giants, Accra Hearts of Oak to make history.
The newly-promoted side play host to the 2020/21 champions on week five of the BetPawa Premier League at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak goes into the game as the favorite after picking their first victory against Bibiani Gold Stars over the weekend.
Despite the name Hearts of Oak and their signings, the former United Academy winger believes Kotoku Royals will beat the Rainbows to make history.
“Playing against Hearts of Oak is a big game that every player would want to play. We’ve played four matches and secured four points out of the possible twelve. It’s not encouraging for the club ‘Kotoku Royals and the players. We have planned to win our day 5 fixture against Hearts of Oak and you will make history for yourself if you can beat Hearts of Oak. We will make sure to make that history for ourselves and the club.
“We will surely beat them to make history,” Dzikoe told Ghanasportspage.com
The Oda-based club opened the season with a win over Accra Lions but failed to win their last three games.
They are thirteenth on the league table with four points.
