Italy-based Ghanaian striker, Caleb Ekuban has returned to the Black Stars after a one-year absence.
The Genoa forward has been named among Ghana’s 55-man provisional squad for preparations ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be held in Ghana.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian international last featured for the Black Stars during their match-day five World Cup qualifier group game against Ethiopia in 2021.
He has so far capped in 6 games with three goals since 2019 for the nation.
The Trabzonspor striker was among Ghana’s 2019 AFCON that lost on penalty shootout to North African side, Tunisia in the last 16 round.
The then Leeds United forward Caleb Ekuban missed the decisive penalty as Ghana bowed out of the Africa Cup of Nations.
