Bechem United notched yet another victory and yet another clean sheet on Thursday afternoon at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park against Asante Kotoko as they handed the Porcupine Warriors their first defeat in the BetPawa Premier League to claim their second win of the season after dropping points in their first two fixtures.
Goals from Kofi Agbesimah and Emmanuel Avornyo proved to be the difference between the two sides in the league’s outstanding fixture.
The Hunters presented a very different challenge than Asante Kotoko did in the game, pressing and positive play with long balls.
After breaking Kotoko’s fine start to the season, Coach Kassim Mingle believes his side has recovered to make a mark.
Speaking to StarTimes after the match, the tactician said: “Before the commencement of the game I told you that the pitch will decide and it has decided.
“Is a work in progress. We started slowly and we’ve now come in. In football at times when you start it doesn’t go well for you. The two previous matches we lost we were the better side but we ended up losing which means we were doing something wrong so we had to rectify it and we did the right thing and it’s moving for us.”
Bechem United will visit Karela United at CAM Park on match-day five of the Premier League.
