• With twelve days go for the World Cup to start, the Terranga Lion’s poster boy, Sadio Mane has suffered injury with Bayern Munich.
• He has scored six goals in thirteen games for the German side.
Senegal forward, Sadio Mane picked up a knock and was replaced by Leroy Sané in the 21st minutes of Bayern Munich’s game against Werder Bremen on Tuesday.
Mane appeared to hurt his calf and was surrounded by team-mates as he sat on the field in pain. Medical staff examined him before determining he needed to be taken off.
Assessment of his status is likely to be provided by Bayern Munich’s coaching staff after the soon.
The AFCON holders have been paired in Group A with Qatar, Netherlands and Ecuador.
They will open the journey against Netherlands on November 21st at the Al Thumama Stadium.
