The Porcupine Warriors goalkeeper was named among the Black Star’s 55-man preliminary stage which was announced early this month but he has failed to make the final cut.
Although, the final 26-man squad is yet to be announced by the head coach of the Black Stars but it has been confirmed that the U-20 AFCON winner will miss the tournament.
The likes of Afena Gyan, Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru, Jeffrey Schlupp, and Dennis Korsah have all been axed from the squad.
It seems Danlad is not bothered by the news but he gave thanks to his maker and stated that God’s time is the best.
Upon receiving the news, the 19-year-old goalkeeper posted on Facebook, “In all we say ALHAMDULILLAH 🙏
Let’s trust the Process
God’s time is always the best
With love and patience, nothing is impossible.
Thanks to Everyone ❤️ who supports #DANLAD”
Among the three local players named in the initial 55-man squad, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is the only player who has reportedly made the final cut.
The World Cup will kick start on November 20 in Qatar. Ghana will commence its journey against Portugal on November 24 at the Stadium 974.
