One-time champions of the world, England have published their final 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar.
The Three Lions will be led by Harry Kane as they take on Iran, the USA and Wales in Group B. The tournament begins on 20 November with England’s first match against Iran kicking off one day later.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luke Shaw, Jude Bellingham, and Phil Foden have all made the final cut to the final squad as they aim to turn on the fire for the ‘It’s Coming Home song.
Reece James will be missing the tournament due to injury but Gareth Southgate has dropped former Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham and has replaced him with Callum Wilson.
Jadon Sancho, Fikayo Tomori, Eddie Nketiah, Hudson Odoi and Marc Guehi are also missing from the Three Lions squad.
England sealed their place at Qatar 2022 with ease and are among the favourites to win the tournament, having reached the semi-finals in 2018 and the final of Euro 2020.
They have a vast array of talent in almost every position and boss Southgate will have to narrow that down.
