Former champions, Hearts of Oak will be chasing their third consecutive win in the season against Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in week six of the BetPawa Premier League.
In their last meeting at the Accra Sports Stadium, the game ended in a draw while Karela United are unbeaten against Hearts of Oak in their last four games, winning one and drawing the remaining three matches.
Hearts of Oak are yet to concede defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium this season – as they hold an unbeaten record at home whiles Karela United have tasted defeats in all their away games this season
Hearts new coach Slavko Matic have won two matches in the Ghanaian top-flight since he took over from Samuel Boadu.
However, there could be notable tweak for today’s game as the Phobians look to climb to the top four before the World Cup. Barnieh returned from national duty to inspire them to a 1-0 win away against Kotoku Royals last weekend.
Going into the game, there will be no change in the goalkeeping department. Richmond Ayi will start ahead of the former Legon Cities goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi.
In defense, Robert Addo Sowah will line-up alongside Inkoom, Korsah and Caleb.
Elsewhere, former Eleven Wonders star, Salifu Ibrahim will partner Gladson Awako in the midfield and will look to continue their remarkable display against the Anyinase-based club looking to add another victory to their unbeaten run.
Meanwhile, Barnieh, Mensah and Gideon Asante will lead the lines upfront as Matić aim for third straight win.
The tantalising Premier League clash between the Phobians and Karela will kick off at 3:00PM local time in Accra.
