Slavko Matić’s hopes of claiming third win towards the World Cup break took an unexpected turn on Sunday afternoon as the former champions were held to a goalless draw at home by Karela United.
Hearts had numerous chances to score at the Accra Sports Stadium but couldn’t find a way to beat Karela United goalkeeper.
Karela also provided their own threat in the game and took a deserved point thanks to superb defensive performance.
The draw means the Phobians miss the chance to move to the top four before the World Cup break.
