Coach Otto Addo has today named Ghana’s 26-man final squad for the 2022 World Cup

The Black Stars gaffer selected 55 names as provisional squad week ago, but he has picked a strong group with talented players across the first XI and among the reserves.

The squad is also a fine a blend of youth and experience players. High-profile stars such as Andre Ayew, Thomas Party, Kudus Mohammed and Jordan will all travel to Qatar together with the newboys, Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Salisu Mohammed and two local players, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Danlad Ibrahim.

There is a place for
Abdul Baba Rahman, Daniel Amartey and one of popular choice among Ghana fans Alexander Djiku.

Meanwhile, Addo snubbed in-form Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru, Jeffrey Schlupp and Bernard Tekpetey.

As part of the team’s preparation for the tournament, Ghana will play a friendly International against Switzerland on November 17th in Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The 22nd edition of the World Cup starts on November 20th, 2022 to December 18, 2022, in eight cities of Qatar.

Here is Ghana’s final man squad to Qatar.

Goalkeepers: Lawrence Ati Zigi (St. Gallen), Abdul Manaf Nurudeen (KAS Eupen), Ibrahim Danlad (Asante Kotoko)

Defenders: Tariq Lamptey (Brighton), Dennis Odoi (Club Brugge), Gideon Mensah (Auxerre), Baba Rahman (Reading), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Alexander Djiku (Strasbourg FC), Joseph Aidoo (Celta Vigo), Mohammed Salisu (Southampton), Alidu Seidu (Clermont Foot)

Midfielders: Thomas Teye Partey (Arsenal FC), Elisha Owusu (Gent), Mohammed Kudus (Ajax Amsterdam), Andre Ayew (Al Saad), Daniel Kofi Kyereh (Freiburg), Abdul Samed Salis (Lens)

Wingers: Osman Bukari (Red Star Belgrade), Kamaldeen Sulemana (Stade Rennes), Kamal Sowah (Club Brugge), Abdul Fatawu Issahaku (Sporting Lisbon)

Strikers: Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), Daniel Afrivie (Hearts of Oak), Inaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao), Antoine Semenyo (Bristol City)
