• Hearts of Oak were held to a 2-2 draw by Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Although Hearts were unable to win the match, they maintained their unbeaten record for the season in what was Slavko Matić’s fifth game.
Brace from David William Van Dijk gave the visitors a comfortable 2-0 lead but they failed to finish the game as victorious.
Heart of Oak who are riding high under the Serbian tactician were aiming to cruise past the Dawu-based team to secure place in the top four but it was a difficult day for them, thanks to Benjamin Yorke who scored late to stop Dreams.
Dreams were cagey at the start of the match, going up by a goal to nil on the fifteenth minute.
Hearts went close to an equaliser early in the first half, with Kaaba missing from close range.
Hearts of Oak later upped the pressure and Dreams had their goalkeeper to thank for keeping them in the game.
Dreams continued to look more dangerous, making it two via David William’s second goal in the 47th minute.
But the pressure from the hosts saw one of Dreams’ defenders, Collins scoring an own goal before Benjamin Yorke’s clinical strike in the latter part of the game.
After several feisty challenges in the game, the visitors were reduced to 10 men as one of their players was shown a red card.
Slavko Matić made eight changes to his team, dropping Mohammed Alhassan, Mohammed Fatawu, Konadu Yiadom, Amankwa Bafi, Awako, Obeng Jnr, and Eric Esso for Addo Sowah, Okine, Inkoom, Otanga, Seidu Suraj, Isaac Mensah, Gideon Asante, and Caleb Amankwa.
The result sees Hearts of Oak occupy the fifth place in the league table, while Dreams drop to the sixteenth position.
