Black Stars manager, Otto Addo admits his side is under pressure ahead of Monday’s make-or-break encounter against South Korea following their 3-2 defeat to Portugal.
Ghana lost their Group H opener against Portugal courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Leao and Joao Felix with Andre Aye and Osman Bukari scoring the consolations for the West African side.
Ghana will now have to fight for a positive result against the Asian side on Monday to have a chance to advance from the group.
But the gaffer, Otto Addo has said the team is under pressure towards the game despite admitting they have a chance to reach the knockout stage.
“First of all, surely, we have a chance especially since they played a draw so if we win against South Korea and Portugal win hopefully against Uruguay then we will be second so the chance is still big,” Addo said as quoted by Ghana Sports Page.
“And surely it will be very, very tough to beat South Korea because they are good. But now we have to win. We are under pressure but they are too.”
The game against South Korea will kick off at exactly 1:00 pm at the Education City Stadium.
South Korea head to the game after playing out an impressive scoreless draw with former champions, Uruguay.
