Coach Otto Addo has named a strong lineup to face Uruguay for their final group game of the FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars will be looking for revenge against Uruguay following the extraordinary battle between the two teams in the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.
Victory or draw would send Otto Addo’s side into the knockout round, while a draw would be enough if South Korea does not beat Portugal, who are already through. Should South Korea triumph against Fernando Santos’s side, then second in the group would be decided on goal difference.
As expected, Coach Otto has named Ati Zigi in the post, Amartey, Seidu, Salisu, and Baba Rahman in defence.
Abdul Samed physicality should help Kudus Mohammed and Partey against the intense Uruguay midfield.
Jordan played a huge role in Ghana’s 3-2 win against South Korea on Monday. He will be starting alongside his brother Andre Ayew and Inaki Williams who leads the lines.
Ghana’s starting XI:
Lawrence Ati Zigi:
Daniel Amartey
Alidu Seidu
Salisu Mohammed
Baba Rahman
Abdul Samed
Thomas Partey
Andre Ayew
Kudus Mohammed
Jordan Ayew
Inaki Williams
