Former GPL star, Charles Taylor has advised Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh on his contract issues with the club.
Barnieh looks closer than ever to an exit following reports that he has turned down a new contract offer from the club after two seasons.
His current contract expires at the conclusion of the year, and Hearts will lose him for free if an agreement cannot be reached.
But Charles Taylor, who served the Phobians for six seasons has advised the Ghanaian youngster to be very careful with those who want to mastermind his move from the club.
“Afriyei Barnie should think twice because, he is not even at that top level now to behave like he is big now on Hearts of Oak.
“We played for 6 good years and Hearts of Oak benefits alot from us , but you can’t say the same for Afriyei Barnie because he has only played three seasons for Hearts and is only just last season that he was able to pickup, so he is not even at that top level to behave “shee shee” on Hearts of Oak
“He should sit with his family and also sit with Hearts of Oak to reach agreement for both side to benefit if not, the same people who are praising him now behind the scene, telling him not to extend his contract will be the same people to welcome him home when he fails to get much playing time in his new club. It has happened to us before,” Charles Taylor delivered on Sports Obama Tv.
Reports indicate Barnieh has been in talks with a number of European clubs, including Asia according to reports.
Since joining the club in 2019, Barnieh has been labelled as the key player to the Phobians and one of the best in the league and has gotten off to a solid start in his career.
He was one of the two GPL players to have represented the nation at the World Cup in Qatar but he was unlucky to kick a ball.
