Asante Kotoko midfielder, Mohammed Sheriff has returned to training after seven months out with a fracture to his fibula.
The sheriff was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury in May during the 2021/22 campaign.
But the former Steadfast FC marksman is expected to feature in the remaining Porcupine Warriors fixtures from January, having returned to training.
His injury was a big blow to the club because of their title-winning ambitions in the previous season. He has established himself well in the team.
The box-to-box midfielder was one of the outstanding performers for Asante Kotoko last season.
Since joining the Porcupine Warriors from Steadfast he’s been in and out of action with multiple injuries but is expected to bounce back to control the Porcupines midfield.
His versatility under Prosper Ogun Narteh earned him the opportunity to feature in over 20 appearances for the side in various positions, right back, centre-back and midfield.
