Accra Hearts of Oak have reportedly identified Christopher Nettey of Kumasi Asante Kotoko as their preferred replacement for Fatawu Mohammed who has been instructed to find a new club.
Now that Fatawu is not in the plans of Coach Slavko Matic, the club officials have identified Kotoko defender, Christopher Nettey as his preferred replacement to compete with Samuel Inkoom at the right-back position.
Nettey’s contract with Asante Kotoko is set to expire in the next ten days and news at hand indicates he could reunite with his ex-deputy coach, David Ocloo at Hearts of Oak should the Porcupines fail to extend his contract.
Manager Slavko Matic is expected to go all out for the Premier League following the club’s failure to join the top four in the previous campaign.
He has informed as many as four players featuring Mohammed Alhassan, Junior Kaaba, and Daniel Kodie to leave, according to a grapevine source from the club.
It’s been rumoured that Fatawu Mohammed and Mohammed Alhassan may exit the Accra-based club permanently, having struggled to get playing time under the new manager.
