Accra Hearts of Oak maintained their perfect run under Coach Slavko Matic with narrow victory against Nsoatreman FC.
The Rainbows clinched a 1-0 away win on Tuesday against the newly-promoted side on week 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
Neither team was able to break the deadlock in the first half at the Nsoatre Town Park.
In the 59th minute, however, Hearts of Oak’s Obeng Junior had an easy tap in to put the Rainbows ahead after the Nsoatreman goalkeeper clashed with his defender.
His goal guided the Rainbows who entered to the game without the services of their five key players to claim the maximum points.
In another week 9 GPL match, league leaders, Aduana Stars defeated Accra Great Olympics with a 1-0 score.
Raymond Oko’s own goal was enough to give the Fire Boys the needed points to keep their place on the league table.
They currently lead the table with nineteen points, while Olympics rank sixth with 14 points.
Elsewhere, Hearts of Oak have climbed to the third position with sixteen points – Nsoatreman FC sit seventh with 13 points after week 9.
