Coach Christopher Ennin really reacted sadly to his team’s failure to win against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports on Wednesday. He was so much dispirited, having failed to win an away game this season.
Though Chelsea had earlier taken the lead in the first half with the help of Emmanuel Satpong’s goal, but unluckily for them, Eric Zeze ended their domination with a 45th minute goal before Steven Mukwala’s header in the second half.
This was what prompted the gaffer to complain after disappointingly going down and giving the Porcupine Warriors space to move to the second place of the table.
“I wasn’t happy with the performance. Not really because this is not what I was expecting. It’s very down. I have nothing much to say. Being a coach I have to go back to the board and work out things but the performance is not what I was expecting. We didn’t play the real ball I was expecting my boys to play.
“As you can see it was a balanced game. When we came back from break the midfield was corrected because it was collapsed that is why they got the equalizer so I quickly tried to strengthen it and it was working. Is a minor mistake that I need to work on it,” Coach Ennin told StarTimes.
Berekum Chelsea will hope to get back to the winning ways when they Host Bibiani Gold Stars in their next GPL fixture.
They are tenth on the league table with 12 points after nine games.
