Former Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko Jarvis Peprah has tasked the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association to consider the appointment of Chris Hughton as the next Black Stars coach
Jarvis in an exclusive interview with ghanasportapage.com, the former CEO pleaded with the FA and the Ministry to consider Hugthon to occupy the vacant Black Stars coach role. “I don’t think any white coach is bigger than our very Chris Hughton and looking at his pedigree in the game having coached numerous clubs in the UK, he’s capable of handling our team”- he said
“Ghana can not go in for big names coaches like Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and the likes but, with all the experience of Chris, he’s up there to be next coach of the Black Stars. The Ministry of Youth and Sports together with the Ghana Football Association should be bold enough and hand over the job to Chris with all the backings, he will come good devoid of interferences”- he told the leading sports page in Ghana, Ghanasportspage.com.
The Ghana Football Association appointed Chris Hughton as the Technical advisor to the Coach Otto Addo prior to Ghana’s World Cup Qualifiers last hurdle against Nigeria and got maintained after the qualified for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Otto Addo announced his resignation as the Head Coach of the senior national team of Ghana, Black Stars following the elimination of the team from the World Cup and many believe Chris is the right man to occupy that vacant Black Stars coaching role.
