The qualified teams for the next stage of the MTN FA Cup has been released following an exciting contests in the round of 64.
There are 13 Premier League teams among the 32 teams to battle for a place in the last 16 stage.
Last season’s finalists, Bechem United couldn’t make it. Their hopes were crushed by Asante Kotoko with a 4-2 scoreline on penalties after playing out a 2-2 draw at the Baba Yara Sports. Hearts of Oak are the most successful amongst the clubs that have made it to the next stage of the competition. They are also the defending champions and aiming to win it for the 13th time.
The Phobians have a chance to advance further in this year’s edition of the competition after a dramatic comeback win against Uncle T United on Tuesday.
The Premier League sides will face same tricky duels when they come up against the second and lower tier clubs.
The qualified teams for the Round of 32 will know their opponents for the next round at the live draw which will be conducted at the GFA’s Secretariat and will be held from January 20 – 23, 2023.
