Ghana stregthens their preparations as they humbled top African side, Al Ahly in pre-CHAN friendly on Saturday afternoon at the Al Salaam Stadium.
The Egyptian side ended the first with a goal lead courtesy of Tariq Zaid against the Black Galaxies but Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Solomon Adomako and Razak Yusif each scored in the second half to hand Ghana a hard fought win.
The game forms part of Ghana’s preparations for the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) which will be staged in Algeria from January 13- February 4, 2023.
Coach Annor Walker’s side are currently camping in Cairo, Egypt to fine-tune their preparations for the tournament.
They entered the game with a 2-0 win at the Cairo International stadium on Tuesday against the U-20 national team of Egypt.
With this performance, Annor Walker and his boys will aim to extend their unbeaten run and shock the African continent when the tournament begins in Algeria.
Ghana will compete along with Morocco, Madagascar and Sudan in Group C at the CHAN tournament.
They are returning to the competition having missed the last three editions.
Ghana will hope to reach its third finals of the competition.
