The Phobians were initially slated to face the Tamale City side on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium and still remain in action for the Matchday 11 fixture.
Hearts of Oak officially wrote to the quarter of Ghana Football requesting to postpone their Matchday 11 game against Tamale City due to unavailability and inability to catch the required matchday squad(18) for the game this weekend.
According to the Ghana FA, the said fixture has not been postponed and still remains to take place on Saturday 7th January 2023 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
They have several Hearts Of Oak players including Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Suraj Seidu, Gladson Awako, Konadu Yiadom and Dennis Korsah who are with the Black Galaxies for the African Nations Championship(CHAN) to be staged in Algeria.
However, Samuel Inkoom, Zakaria Yakubu are injured and Gideon Asante is also sick Enoch Esubonteng serving a suspension after his red card against Bechem United FC last Monday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium
