Asante Kotoko Brands and Communications Director, David Obeng Nyarko has highlighted the causes of the failure of football fans to visit stadiums on match days in the ongoing campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors spokesman believes poor officiating and how the league is being marketed are the causes of poor stadium attendance.
“We have done our research and there are several reasons and one of the reasons is that people do not believe there is fairness in the game. Some people come to the stadium but decide not to come to the stadium again because of bad officiating, that is a fact”
He added, “How we market our league is also a factor, statistics are available in other leagues and with just a click you can have every statistic you need but if asked who has the most passes in our league, I do not think anyone can answer that question.” He told Oyerepa FM.
Asante Kotoko will on week 11 renew rivalries with Accra Great Olympics. They are hoping to welcome the fans to fill the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
