Hearts of Oak put their 2-1 loss against Bechem United aside to baptize Tamale City in their first-ever meeting in the Ghana Premier League.
The visitors came out all guns blazing in the first half as they pressed Hearts of Oak with a 2-1 lead before the break.
But Hearts of Oak found a deserved breakthrough courtesy of goals from Salifu Ibrahim, Benjamin Yorke and Caleb Amankwa.
