Goalkeeper Richard Attah has confirmed that his contract with Accra Hearts of Oak has not been terminated.
It was rumored that the 27-year-old glovesman has been released by the GPL giants following the comment made by his wife, Joyce Attah four days ago.
Speculations that the goalkeeper could leave Hearts of Oak has made headlines in recent days.
But for the first time , Attah has addressed the rumor publicly, saying his contract with the club has been terminated.
“It is not true that my contract with my darling club has been terminated and I have no intention of termination it. We are even on a contract extension talks,” part of Attah’s apology letter after his wife’s comment said.
The former Elmina Sharks number one shotstopper is in the final year of a three-year contract extension he signed in 2020 with the Rainbows.
He was between the sticks when Hearts of Oak SC won the league and FA Cup double in the 2021/22 season.
The following season, his heroics helped the Phobians to retain the MTN FA Cup in that 2-1 success over Bechem United.
The former Susubiribi FC player is yet to be in the posts the MTN FA Cup holders following the team’s 3-0 defeat to Accra Great Olympics in week 33 of the 2021/22 season.
Despite his current situation, Attah believes the club will offer him another deal as contract extension talks are ongoing.
