Accra Hearts of Oak has mutually terminated the contract of Cameroonian Striker Junior Kaaba just months after joining the rainbow boys.
The 23-year-old joined Hearts of Oak from Fauvre FC Cameroon and penned a two-year deal.
He joined the phobians on a high note having scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists in the Cameroon league in the 2021/2022 season but only managed six appearances in the Ghana Premier League for Hearts in the 2022/2023 season with zero goal contribution.
Meanwhile, defender Mohammed Alhassan has also got his contract terminated with 12 months left in his contract.
The decision to mutually terminate the former WAFA defender’s contract arrived after both parties failed to reach an agreement on contract extension.
Hearts signed Mohammed Alhassan in 2018 after leaving WAFA and spent four seasons as an integral member of the Hearts team and went on to manage 90 games helping them secure 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League and FA Cup.
Slavko Matic, head coach of Hearts of oak has never been convinced by the abilities of the Cameroonian striker and has barely used him since taking over the job.
