Accra Hearts of Oak look set to face FC Samartex in the BetPawa Premier League on Sunday as they return to the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Rainbows will be confident going into Sunday’s game with Coach Slavko Matic returning from his short-term break.
Hearts will be without Zakaria Yakubu due to yellow card accumulation. Zakaria received his third yellow card of the season during their game against King Faisal – the second in the team’s last three games.
Caleb Amankwaa will be in action on Sunday. The defender was supposed to leave Ghana after their game against King Faisal to join the Black Galaxies for the CHAN tournament but talks are ongoing to extend his contract before he leaves the country.
Elsewhere, their new signings, Hamza Mohammed and Clinton Appiah have been named in the team’s match squad. The duo will be hoping to make their debut in the league at home.
Hearts in the last outing of the league campaign played out a goalless draw with King Faisal. They are third on the lead table and just four points behind the club leading the log, they will be aiming to record a win on Sunday to close the gap.
