Former Chief Executive Officer for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Jarvis Peprah has informed the current management that lower division players can not make Kotoko survive.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently on a run of four draws and one victory from their last five games.
They were inexplicably held by Bibiani Gold Stars on Monday at the Dun’s Park, making it four consecutive draws.
And despite their position on the table, Jarvis Peprah is worried and unconvinced by the standard of the players, claiming the club can only survive if they stop signing inexperienced and third division players.
“I don’t think nobody will support the club with this players in the previous years during the presence of the strong fan base. Third Division players can’t make Kotoko survive. We shouldn’t sign them because of the relationship we have with them. Kotoko is not a club that will offload about 18 players at the end of the season and go for ‘below standard’ players.
“The victory of the club is more important than to use my son to play. Kotoko can only survive if stop bringing those “small small boys,” Jarvis revealed in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com.
Asante Kotoko hosts relegation battling side, Kotoku on week 14.
They find themselves in third position – three points adrift leaders Aduana Stars.
